Tumeni Brothers 10/12/20
Mike Pattison
Rich Preiner
Good tumes for any occasion! Mike Pattison and Rich Preiner have been playing together for 15 years, covering music from many genres and artists.
The Tumeni (pronounced “too many”) Brothers, a local duet, are Rich Preiner and Mike Pattison, two guitarists playing since teenagers who met in 1995 and started performing live together in 1999.
Rich grew up in Bloomington MN and has been actively playing in bands since high school. When not playing in the duet, he is an accomplished solo guitar player as well as involvement in other musical projects. Rich’s primary rig includes Godin Synth guitars played through Roland pedals.
Mike grew up in North St. Paul, started playing in high school, but life interfered with music until his chance encounter with Rich. When not performing with Rich, he is a member of the Hennepin County Medical Center’s HC/MC rock band. Mike’s primary rig include Line 6 Variax guitars and pedals.
Since their initial performances at local coffee shops, including Vertigo Café, Tillies Bean and various Dunn Brothers locations, they have been playing regularly at select bar restaurants in the metro area as well as private parties and events. Their music spans a variety of styles, from Folk, to Country, Blues, Swing, Classic and New Rock using guitar effects to add piano, strings, bass and horns.
In addition to original songs, they have covered a wide range of artists, too many to name, but includes Django, Chet Atkins, The Eagles, Jerry Reed, Eric Clapton, Gordon Lightfoot, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jim Croce, Allman Brothers, Staind, John Mayer, Santana, Incubus and Dave Matthews to name a few.
